BitRipple Appoints Scott Brown as CEO; Co-Founder Dr. Michael Luby Transitions to CTO
BERKELEY - January 9, 2026 - BitRipple, a high-performance data infrastructure software company supporting AI, cloud, and distributed compute environments, today announced leadership changes approved by its Board of Directors. Effective January 9, 2026, Scott Brown has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Board member, and BitRipple co-founder Dr. Michael Luby has assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer while continuing as Chairman of the Board. In addition, Pooja Aggarwal, Co-Founder and VP of Systems, has also been appointed to the Board.
The transition reflects BitRipple’s evolution into its next phase of growth as demand accelerates for scalable, resilient data movement across AI, cloud, and hyperscaler environments. As CTO, Mike will focus on advancing BitRipple’s technical roadmap, deepening platform capabilities, and driving innovation for increasingly large-scale and performance-sensitive workloads. As CEO, Scott will lead company strategy, commercialization, and global go-to-market execution.
Dr. Michael Luby is a BitRipple co-founder and has served as CEO since the company’s inception. He brings deep technical expertise and a track record of building and scaling foundational networking and systems technologies, and will continue to guide the company’s long-term technical vision as CTO.

Scott brings extensive experience scaling technology companies, building enterprise and hyperscaler relationships, and leading go-to-market organizations through periods of rapid growth. He has held senior leadership roles across multiple successful software companies, including prior exits.
