BitRipple Inc. (“BitRipple,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how we handle Personal Data (as defined below) in connection with the BitRipple LT3™ Communication Software (the “Software”), a software development kit (“SDK”) that may be embedded within third-party applications. BitRipple provides this SDK to developers and enterprises under commercial agreements.

Personal data (“Personal Data”) means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, including but not limited to names, email addresses, IP addresses, and usage data that could be linked to a person.

Please note that BitRipple does not operate a consumer-facing application or user account system and does not directly collect or store Personal Data from individual users unless explicitly configured to do so by a licensee.

1. Scope and Applicability

This Policy applies to Personal Data processed by BitRipple in connection with:

  • Distribution and support of the LT3™ SDK;
  • Operation of bitripple.com and its subdomains;
  • Licensee or developer support inquiries;
  • Any direct telemetry configured and explicitly authorized by licensees.

This Policy does not apply to the practices of third-party applications that embed BitRipple LT3™. For any data collected through those products, please refer to the privacy policy of the third-party provider.

When BitRipple provides the LT3™ SDK to licensees, we act as a data processor for any Personal Data transmitted through the SDK, under the instructions of the licensee. The licensee is the data controller and is responsible for complying with applicable data protection laws.

2. What Information Does BitRipple Collect?

In most configurations, BitRipple does NOT collect Personal Data from end users of third-party applications. However, we may collect limited technical and business data under the following circumstances:

A. From Licensees or Developers:

  • Contact information (name, company, email) for license administration or support;
  • Usage metrics related to SDK deployment or diagnostics (if telemetry is enabled by licensee).

B. From Website Visitors:

  • Device data (IP address, browser type, referring URLs);
  • Cookies and analytics (only on bitripple.com, as described in Section 6).

C. Optional Telemetry (When Enabled):

Some licensees may configure the SDK to send anonymized diagnostic or performance data back to BitRipple. This is always governed by an explicit commercial agreement, and BitRipple does not directly receive Personal Data unless specified.

3. How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and support our Software;
  • Respond to developer inquiries and technical requests;
  • Improve the performance, security, and reliability of the SDK;
  • Monitor compliance with licensing terms;
  • Maintain logs of distribution or licensing events.

We do NOT use this data for advertising or personalization.

For users in the EU or UK, we process personal data based on: (i) the necessity of performance of a contract (e.g., licensing agreements), (ii) our legitimate interests (e.g., improving SDK performance or responding to support requests), or (iii) consent (e.g., optional telemetry).

4. Sharing of Information

We do NOT sell or trade your personal information.

We may share limited data:

  • With service providers under NDA (e.g., infrastructure or support vendors);
  • If required by law, subpoena, or legal request;
  • To protect BitRipple’s legal rights or prevent abuse;
  • As part of a corporate merger, sale, or acquisition.

We do NOT share data with third-party advertisers or analytics networks unrelated to our Software.

5. Cookies and Analytics on Our Website

BitRipple’s public website may use cookies to:

  • Track basic usage metrics;
  • Improve site performance;
  • Maintain session state or support developer portal logins (if applicable).

You may disable cookies via your browser settings. We do not track users across third-party sites.

6. Data Retention

We retain:

  • Customer and developer contact records for as long as necessary to manage our business and comply with applicable laws;
  • Diagnostic and usage logs (if enabled) for limited timeframes to improve SDK stability and support;
  • Website analytics data in aggregated form only.

7. Security Measures

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect, including:

  • Transport layer security (“TLS”) encryption for data in transit;
  • Strict access controls on internal systems;
  • Vendor contracts requiring confidentiality and data security.

BitRipple does NOT store sensitive user data such as payment information, passwords, or biometric data.

8. End Users of Third-Party Applications

If you are an individual using a product that embeds BitRipple, your Personal Data is subject to the privacy policy of the third-party provider. BitRipple does not process your personal information unless the licensee has configured the Software to transmit such data under agreement.

9. International Data Transfers

BitRipple operates in the United States. If you are accessing our services from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to or processed in the U.S. or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate.

10. Your Rights

If you are a resident of California, the EU, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, you may request:

  • Access to Personal Data we hold about you;
  • Correction or deletion of that data;
  • Withdrawal of consent (where applicable).

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on www.bitripple.com/privacy-policy with the updated “Effective Date.” If we make material changes, we will provide prominent notice or contact licensees directly. Previous versions of this Privacy Policy will be available upon request.
